Islwyn Evans founded Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion in 1993 to promote choral singing of a high standard in the Ceredigion area..

The Childrens’ Choir won S4C’s choral competition, Côr Cymru, in 2003 and in 2009 and in the 2011 competition both the Childrens’ Choir and the Male Voice Choir reached the final once again.

The choir makes regular appearances on stages the length and breadth of Wales and they have also tasted success in the National Eisteddfod.
